Icy Sparks Book Covers

Icy Sparks is a book that focuses on the struggles of a girl growing up with Tourettes Syndrome in Kentucky during the 1940s. It is story of self discovery and coming of age but also focuses on some of the grittier elements of such an experience. I created two book cover designs for this story. The first is image dominant and the second is type dominant. However, in both designs I strove to represent the chaotic effect that Tourettes Syndrome had on the main characters life while using the color scheme to represent the fact that this story primarily focuses on the main character as a child.
